SUMMARY:Food for Thought: Assessment Design GenAI: Assessment Workshop 1
DESCRIPTION:Assessment Design GenAI\n\nIn this workshop\, we will
consider how the impacts of AI may influence the way we approach assessment
design. We’ll review three core elements of assessment design:
alignment\, authenticity\, and triangulation and consider how these
elements can mitigate specific concerns surrounding AI in assessment.\n\n
\n\nPresenters\n\nMichele Bridge is an Instructional Development Consultant
and the Faculty Development Coordinator in the LTC. She is passionate about
teaching and learning and has a particular interest in assessment and
building educator competencies through professional development.\n\nErika
Ram is an Instructor in the BCIT Computing Department and Chair of the EDCO
Educational Technology and Learning Design Committee. Her work combines
pedagogical theory with practical technology applications\, program
development and creative problem-solving. Erika champions the "teaching in
beta" approach\, advocating continuous curriculum evolution and iteration.
