Performance Development System 2025 Revival: How it Affects You.

Performance Development System 2025 Revival: How it Affects You. In-Person / Online

Did you know that by initiating your own performance development plan, you support peers, students, your own professional growth, and even your department's resilience in changing times? If you appreciate the value of self-reflective practice as an educator, come to this Food for Thought session to find out about the PDS at BCIT. Learn what the FSA Collective Agreement says about navigating the PDS, how it dovetails with the Education Plan, how it's being upgraded and promoted, and how you can have your say.

Presenter: Kirsty Barclay has been teaching in BCIT's Communications Department since 2014. In January, 2025, she became the new PDS Coordinator in consultation with the LTC and the FSA, and in alignment with the Education Plan. Kirsty's areas of specialization include teaching interpersonal and team skills, presentations, reader analysis, and writing for business and technical contexts; helping EFL learners adopt clear communication strategies; and teaching BCIT students how to use AI responsibly, safely, and efficiently.
