Food for Thought: Assessment in Group Work: Assessment Workshop 2 In-Person / Online
Assessment in Group Work
This workshop focuses on strategies for the effective design and assessment of teamwork and team-based projects. Participants will explore how to ensure that team assignments are aligned with the course outcomes, connected to professional skills in the discipline, and that expectations for student engagement are clear. Facilitators will share considerations for assessing group and individual contributions to team projects, as well as opportunities for students to reflect on and demonstrate the professional and employability skills they are developing through group work.
Participants are encouraged to come to the session with questions, concerns, and suggestions for assessing team assignments based on their recent experience, as time will be allocated for this discussion.
