Food for Thought: Generative AI Technology in the Classroom - A Case Study from the UK In-Person / Online

As a rapidly evolving technology, Gen AI challenges universities and post-secondary institutions to keep relevant policies and approaches current, particularly at a classroom level in guiding students on how to use the technology while avoiding academic integrity issues. This session will look at how the Centre for Open Learning at Edinburgh University is currently approaching and managing student use of Gen AI technology at the classroom, assignment, and assessment level. The session will be of interest to anyone who is considering the implications of AI technology on their own classroom, or for anyone who is interested to see how a major UK university is approaching and managing the technology at a concrete level in a classroom setting.

A light lunch will be provided.
